The Puerto Rico free-flowing artwork is a special piece within the Impressions of Humanity collection, created during a three-week journey across the island in 2004. From San Juan to surrounding cities, community members came together to share their hand impressions and stories.
Although Puerto Rico is not an independent nation, its strong cultural identity and heritage inspired the creation of a dedicated artwork. This artwork stands alongside the United States flag as a companion piece, honoring Puerto Rico’s unique voice within the global portrait of humanity.
